This opportunity is for the design and construction of major pool improvements at the Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center in Columbia, Missouri. - Government Buyer: - City of Columbia, Parks and Recreation Department, Purchasing Division - Scope of Work: - Full-service design-build for pool facility upgrades - Structural concrete deck replacement (approx. 22,000 sq ft) - New zero-entry pool zone with water features - Installation of diving stands and ADA chairlift - Upgrades to filtration and chemical systems - Addition of shade structures and new fencing - Slip resistant flooring and watertight commercial PVC liner - Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades - Restoration of pool slides - Optional alternate items: kiddie pool play structure, repairs, sandblasting, painting, and electrical conduit/pole base installation - Requirements: - Licensed professional engineering services - Compliance with Missouri Department of Labor prevailing wage laws - Training of City maintenance staff on new systems - Liquidated damages for project delays - No specific OEMs or vendors are mandated; open to qualified design-build contractors with aquatic facility experience - Notable: Alternate bid items allow for flexibility in scope and solution
