Description

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announces receipt of exemption applications from 16 individuals with epilepsy or seizure disorders seeking to operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in interstate commerce. These individuals have had one or more seizures and are taking anti-seizure medication. The exemptions, if granted, would allow them to drive CMVs despite the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations prohibiting persons with such conditions from doing so.
