Description

In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Murray State University Archaeology Laboratory has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects. The inventory determined a cultural affiliation between the human remains and associated funerary objects and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The human remains represent at least nine individuals of Native American ancestry, with associated funerary objects including a plainware bowl, fired clay ball, shell spoon, and polished stone. Repatriation of these remains and objects may occur on or after July 22, 2026.
