Description

The National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) intends to request a revision of the information collection titled Veterinary Medicine Loan Repayment Program (VMLRP). The revision includes updating application forms to align with current laws and policies and transitioning components of the application and participant submission process to a new electronic system within the eRA platform. The program aims to ensure an adequate supply of trained food animal veterinarians in shortage situations by entering into agreements with veterinarians to provide services in these areas. Public comments on the proposed revision are invited until August 21, 2026.
