The New York State Thruway Authority is seeking a qualified engineering firm to provide construction inspection support services for major bridge rehabilitation projects in the Albany Division, specifically for the Catskill and Kaaterskill Bridges on I-87. - Government Buyer: - New York State Thruway Authority, Department of Procurement Services, Engineering Department - Scope of Services: - Construction inspection for bridge and roadway rehabilitation, including: - Asphalt and concrete pavement reconstruction and repairs - Bridge cleaning, painting, rehabilitation, and replacement - Culvert and retaining wall work - Sign structure repairs - Pavement markings, drainage, and highway safety improvements - Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) repairs and installation - Facility repairs and emergency work - Material testing, utility work, and permit work - Work zone traffic control, shop drawing review, plant and material inspection, and night inspection - Staffing Requirements: - Project Engineer (ASCE IV(A)), Office Engineers (NICET IV(N)), Chief Inspector (NICET IV(N)), Inspectors (NICET III(N) and II(N)), and possible part-time scheduler - Notable Requirements: - MWBE participation goal of 30% and SDVOB goal of 6% - Compliance with NYS embodied carbon reporting and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for qualifying materials - Adherence to NYS prevailing wage rates and registration with NYSDOL and Contractor Registry - Required registration with NYS Department of State and Department of Education - Submission of Letter of Interest (LOI) with specific forms and certifications, including Gender-Based Violence and Workplace policy attestation - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation

Description

The New York State Thruway Authority seeks to retain a qualified engineering firm to provide construction inspection services in the Albany Division, primarily for Catskill Bridge and Kaaterskill Bridge Rehabilitation on I-87 at MP 113.22 and MP 111.13. The work includes asphalt and concrete pavement reconstruction and repairs, bridge cleaning and rehabilitation, culvert and retaining wall work, sign structure repairs, pavement markings, drainage and highway safety improvements, ITS repairs, facility repairs, emergency work, material testing, utility work, work zone traffic control, shop drawings review, plant and material inspection, and night inspection. The contract term is four years with an option for a one-year extension. The estimated contract value is $5,000,000.
