Background: The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) require an upgrade of all Natus EEG acquisition and review software (NeuroWorks) currently operated by the NINDS EEG Section in the NIH Clinical Center. The existing Natus EEG recording and review systems used for clinical intracranial EEG recordings require an upgrade to the latest version of Natus software to ensure compatibility with the current Windows operating system required by NINDS Information Technology for computers connected to the NIH network. The upgraded software will support ongoing clinical and research activities and ensure continued operation of Natus EEG systems. The NINDS EEG Section conducts collaborative research focused on understanding epilepsy, improving localization of epileptic foci, and advancing treatment options for patients with medically refractory epilepsy. The software upgrade is essential to support these ongoing clinical and research eAorts.
