The City of Riverside Public Works Department is seeking qualified civil and traffic engineering firms to provide professional design services for the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Cycle 12 Project. - Government Buyer: - City of Riverside Public Works Department, Traffic Engineering Division - Scope of Work: - Preparation of engineering design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for: - Installation of pedestrian median fencing along two major roadway segments - Enhanced pedestrian crossings at 149–151 signalized intersections, including high visibility crosswalks and audible pedestrian push buttons - Upgrades at 36 multi-way stop-controlled intersections, including new or larger stop signs, regulatory signage, retroreflective strips, flashing LED stop signs, and optional raised curb islands - Deliverables include construction bid packages, engineering support during construction, and as-built plans - Key Requirements: - Valid Professional Engineering License (Traffic and Civil) at proposal submission - Minimum five years of relevant experience - Registration with California Department of Industrial Relations and SAM.gov - Electronic proposal submission via PlanetBids - All subcontractors must be properly licensed and registered - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the opportunity is open to all qualified engineering firms - No unique part numbers or purchase quantities for products, as this is a design and consulting services solicitation - Notable Requirements: - Design must address high crash concentration areas and meet safety improvement targets - Project includes both design and construction engineering support - Contract term is three years with two one-year extension options

The City of Riverside is seeking a qualified entity or individual to provide professional services for the preparation of civil and traffic engineering design plans for the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Cycle 12 Project. The project scope includes installation of pedestrian median fencing, upgrading pedestrian crossings with enhanced safety features, and improving multi-way stop-controlled intersections. Proposals must be submitted electronically via the City's PlanetBids system by July 15, 2026. The company and/or key personnel must hold a Professional Engineering License in Traffic and Civil disciplines at the time of proposal submission.
