The City of Rolling Hills Estates is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive landscape maintenance services for city-owned properties. - Government Buyer: - City of Rolling Hills Estates (City Clerk's Office) - Scope of Services: - Maintenance of approximately 177.7 acres of parkland, 25 miles of equestrian and bridle trails, 10 miles of bicycle paths, 30 miles of public streets, landscaped medians, rights-of-way, roadway corridors, and community entry features - Services include: - Turf mowing, edging, aeration, dethatching, overseeding, fertilization (using 21-3-5 or equivalent fertilizer), pruning, trimming, hedging, plant care, and plant replacement - Irrigation inspection, monitoring, adjustment, and repair - Weed, disease, and pest control (primarily manual/mechanical; chemical use restricted and must comply with California regulations and SB 1383) - Litter and debris removal, green waste handling and disposal - Environmental compliance, including use of recycled organic materials and adherence to stormwater and energy conservation best practices - Emergency response within two hours for urgent landscape issues - Notable Requirements: - Contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and tools - Valid California C-27 Contractor’s License and California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) number required - Compliance with prevailing wage laws and environmental regulations (e.g., SB 1383) - Annual price adjustments based on Consumer Price Index (CPI), with a maximum 4% increase unless otherwise approved - Electronic bid submission required - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; services are the primary focus

The City of Rolling Hills Estates is soliciting proposals to select a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive landscape maintenance services for City property. The scope includes maintaining approximately 177.7 acres of parkland across eight parks, 25 miles of equestrian and bridle trails, 10 miles of bicycle paths, 30 miles of public streets, and landscaped medians, rights-of-way, roadway corridors, and community entry features. Maintenance tasks include turf mowing, edging, aeration, dethatching, overseeding, fertilization, pruning, trimming, irrigation inspection and repair, weed and vegetation control, pest management, litter removal, green waste disposal, and environmental compliance. The contract duration is approximately five years, from September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2031, requiring a California C-27 Contractor’s License and DIR number.
