Description

The Province of Alberta is seeking a consultant to conduct a Lean Six Sigma assessment of the current laboratory operations at the Agri-Food Assurance Section (AFAS) laboratory. The consultant will identify operational bottlenecks and challenges related to workflow, laboratory layout, staffing, and software systems, and propose practical mitigation strategies to improve efficiency and capacity. The contract duration is 4 months, starting approximately on August 1, 2026. The work will be performed at the AFAS laboratory located in Edmonton, Alberta.
