This requirement to conduct a weight test and dye penetration test on Cranston Eagle Offload Hooks are critical to mission assets for both Mobility Seaman (MOB‑S) and Amphibious Warfare (AMW) areas and serve as the primary lifting points for a ship’s Caley Davit and Articulating Knuckle Boom Crane.  To maintain compliance with mandated certification requirements and ensure safe operation of all launch and recovery systems, the ship must have all Cranston Eagle Offload Hooks recertified immediately.  Failure to complete recertification will directly impact the ship’s operational readiness. With deployment imminent, all hooks must be certified to support mission execution.

The proposed contract action is Sole Source only.
