The City of Laredo Engineering Department is seeking bids for Phase 2 site improvements at Jacaman Road and McPherson Road. - Government Buyer: - City of Laredo, Engineering Department, Purchasing Division - Scope of Work: - Construction of approximately 1,011 sq ft of 7-inch reinforced concrete driveway/apron - Construction of 396 sq ft of 4-inch reinforced concrete sidewalk flatwork - Installation of 4 ADA-compliant accessible ramps with detectable warning surfaces - Subgrade preparation (156 sq yd): scarifying, grading, and compacting soil - Construction of 85 linear feet of ADA transition curb - Installation of 111 sq ft of Type D Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete (HMAC) paving - Excavation and embankment (26 cubic yards each) - Traffic control services, including temporary devices, pedestrian detours, and lane closures - Pavement striping (400 linear feet) and application of 23 pavement marking symbols (including handicap and directional arrows) - Installation of 2 sign posts with R3-8a sign plaques - Stormwater pollution prevention measures: concrete washout pit, trash & debris containment, curb inlet protection (hog wire weir) - Demolition and removal of 1,092 sq ft of existing concrete and 8 existing pavement markings - Contingency allowance for unforeseen conditions - Notable Requirements: - All work must comply with City of Laredo specifications and ADA accessibility standards - Minimum two-year warranty for labor and construction - Environmental controls for stormwater and debris - Project completion expected within a minimum of 30 working days after notice to proceed - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; all materials and methods must meet City standards.

The City of Laredo is soliciting informal bids for the construction of site improvements at Jacaman Road and McPherson Road (Phase 2). The project includes construction of approximately 1011 square feet of 7" reinforced concrete driveway, 396 square feet of flatwork for sidewalks, and 4 ADA accessible ramps. Bids must be submitted by July 6, 2026, and will be publicly opened at 3:00 PM at the City of Laredo Purchasing Office. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive minor irregularities.
