The Government of Prince Edward Island's Department of Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy is seeking qualified contractors for building envelope upgrades at the Access PEI Summerside facility in Prince County. - Government Buyer: - Government of Prince Edward Island, Department of Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy, Building Services Division - Scope of Work: - Removal of existing cedar siding and steel paneling - Installation of new preformed metal siding (Grade A galvanized sheet steel, factory precoated, 0.61mm thickness, 7/8 Corrugated Panel) - Removal and replacement of insulation (fiberglass steel building insulation, WMP 30 facing, minimum R-13.6) - Replacement of roofing membrane with a two-ply modified bitumen system (includes rigid poly-isocyanurate insulation, coverboard, and accessories) - Installation of new metal roofing (28 gauge concealed fastener panels, anti-siphon channel, weather barrier underlayment, trim, flashings, snow guards) - Installation of air barrier membrane system (vapor permeable, self-adhering SBS modified bitumen) - Removal of obsolete HVAC equipment and infilling of roof penetrations - Requirements: - All work must conform to applicable standards (CSA, FM, CRCA membership for roofing) - Contractors must have experience in roofing and building envelope work - Two-year warranty on roofing membrane repairs and 35-year warranty on metal roofing materials - 12-month guarantee period after acceptance - No specific OEMs, brands, or part numbers are named in the solicitation - Tender documents are available electronically; bid and contract security are required - Procurement is open and competitive under the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA)
