This solicitation is for the construction of a new potable water distribution system in Brown County, South Dakota, totaling about 5,650 linear feet. The system includes approximately 5,300 linear feet of 4-inch and 350 linear feet of 2-inch water main, installed by open excavation or as a bid alternate, installed by horizontal directional drill. Additional work includes fittings, restraints, concrete thrust blocks, road crossings, isolation valves, owner-provided service meter vaults, service lines, erosion control, seeding and restoration, pressure testing and disinfection, cleanup, traffic control, startup services, and other miscellaneous work as specified in the contract documents.
