Description
The purpose of this requirement is to provide and install an engineered fire suppression system within the diesel generator rooms of three (3) 60T portal cranes located at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. The fire suppression system is required to reduce the risk of fire associated with diesel-powered equipment, protect personnel and Government assets, minimize operational downtime, and ensure continued safe and reliable crane operations in support of the shipyard mission requirements. The system shall be installed in accordance with applicable NFPA standards including NFPA 12, NFPA 72, and NFPA 2001, as specified in the Statement of Work (SOW).
