The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Vicksburg District (USACE-MVK), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, intends to award a sole source service contract to Mid South Machinery Inc. (CAGE Code: 028E4) for the repair of a Linkbelt Crane. The Revetment Branch of the USACE Vicksburg District requires repairs to be completed on a Linkbelt 138 Hylab 5 lattice boom crane no later than 17 July 2026. The crane is located at 2577 Haining Rd, Vicksburg, MS, 39183.  The specific repairs needed are listed in the requirement list below:

Model: Linkbelt 138 Hylab 5 Serial Number: N9J5-7563 Repair computer Remove SML10 computer Have it repaired by factory to restore to full functionality to unit/screen Reinstall repaired computer Calibrate computer Install new spring on boom hoist paw Cab repairs Remove old ball joints on cab door Install new ball joints Adjust door as needed Remove old door seal Install new door seal in cab Remove old seat assembly Install new seat assembly Attach new safety decal on the boom Utilize certified welder to remove two bent lattice members and replace with two new  lattice members Paint lattice Lube main and auxiliary hoist cables Perform annual crane inspection and apply inspection sticker to crane Replace the following: Ball Joint – 6 each – Part # 3099966 Spring – 1 each – Part # CDJ3725 Warning Label – 10 each – 1M 6095 Seat assembly – 1 each – Part # 3104090 Bolt – 4 each – Part # CXN0162 Sponge Trim – 1 each – Part # EQF0003 HRS angle – 48 each – Part # 902008001
