THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) / SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS ISSUED SOLELY FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION. This Notice of Intent is not a Request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document is available at this time, and telephone or email inquiries will not be accepted. The Government will not make an award based on responses received from this notice. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet this requirement and should provide detailed information demonstrating their ability to deliver the requested services, including sufficient pricing and technical data to allow the Government to assess the availability of a comparable source. The Department of Veterans Affairs has a preference for domestically manufactured content ALL COMPONENTS NEED TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH EXISTING SYSTEM Sources Sought Description All components need to be compatible with the existing Kidde Global Solutions (formerly Edwards) EST3 platform. The project includes the replacement of all fire alarm system components associated with 18 control panels and 23 remote annunciators. The scope further includes reworking and reconnecting fiber optic cables across 18 fiber cabinets; completing all necessary programming, testing, and commissioning of new devices; and ensuring full system functionality, including code print-out capabilities. The upgraded system must comply with NFPA 72, 2025 VA Edition, and must eliminate all existing ground faults.
