The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is seeking a contractor to design, fabricate, and install biocontainment enclosures for three overhead coiling doors at the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) in Manhattan, KS. - Government Buyer: - USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Acquisition and Property Division, National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) - Products/Services Requested: - Biocontainment enclosures for three overhead coiling doors: - 1 EDS Door G.033.a (22 ft x 13 ft) - 2 TTA Doors (G.021.a and G.032.b, each 12 ft x 10 ft) - Enclosures must: - Be sealed on all edges and withstand negative air pressure - Use clear flexible film with passive particulate filtration (99.97% efficiency for 0.3 micron particles) - Feature roll-up bottom sections for equipment and personnel access - Withstand 2,000 lbs traffic load and last at least 10 years - Include smoke leak testing, maintenance schedules, and a minimum one-year warranty - Services: - Design, fabrication, and installation of enclosures - Smoke leak testing and documentation - Maintenance and inspection schedule delivery - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must be an authorized installer with documented experience in similar biocontainment projects - Award will be made on a Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable basis - Set aside for small businesses, including women-owned and economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses - No specific OEMs or commercial product brands are named in the solicitation or attachments

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0815 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for EDS & TTA Roll Up Doors Bio Enclosure for Manhattan, KS.
