Description
STAK Energy Corporation has applied for a 50-year state land lease under AS 38.05.070 to construct, operate, and maintain a commercial natural gas-powered data center facility. The project includes modular data center units, on-site natural gas power generation infrastructure, operations and maintenance buildings, fiber optic communication links, and supporting utilities. The site is located approximately one mile west of the Dalton Highway at Milepost 390 on the North Slope of Alaska. The lease area covers approximately 715.4 acres, and the project aims to utilize abundant land, cold ambient temperatures, and low-cost natural gas for power generation. Public comments on the preliminary decision are invited and must be received by June 15, 2026.
