Description
This initiative is a partnership of four northern Alberta municipalities: Town of Falher (Managing Partner), Town of McLennan, M.D. of Smoky River No. 130, and Village of Donnelly. The project aims to develop individual strategic plans for each municipality, establish a Regional Strategic Alignment Framework, strengthen governance capacity, improve coordination and communication, and support sustainable service delivery. The initiative addresses challenges such as population decline, stagnant assessment growth, and rising service delivery costs. It is funded through the Alberta Community Partnership program and is currently in the consultant procurement phase.
