The City of Kingston is seeking a contractor to install and commission electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at 701 Division Street, Kingston Fleet Yard. - Government Buyer: - City of Kingston, Ontario - OEMs and Vendors: - Autel (MaxiCharger AC Ultra) – Level 2 EV chargers - BTC Power (Gen 4 AIO DCFC) – Level 3 EV chargers - Delta and Hammond Power Solutions – transformers (standards of acceptance) - Products/Services Requested: - Installation and commissioning of owner-supplied Level 2 single port and dual port Autel MaxiCharger AC Ultra EV chargers - Installation and commissioning of owner-supplied Level 3 BTC Power Gen 4 AIO DC fast chargers - Installation of new 400A electrical panels (PP-EVC and RP-EVC), 250A breakers, disconnect switches, and 112.5kVA pad-mounted transformers - Construction of concrete foundations, installation of conduits, wiring, bollards, and asphalt reinstatement - Notable Requirements: - All chargers are owner-supplied; contractor provides all other materials and labor - Strict adherence to manufacturer installation manuals and Canadian electrical codes - Structural engineer-sealed shop drawings required for concrete pedestals and foundations - Coordination with City for scheduling and integration with existing infrastructure - Compliance with seismic and tamper-proof requirements for outdoor equipment
Description
This Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the City of Kingston invites proponents to submit proposals for the installation of Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers at 701 Division Street. The scope includes providing all materials and labor to install and commission EV Chargers purchased by the City, following the attached electrical drawings and specifications. A non-mandatory site visit is scheduled for January 29, 2026, at the project location. Proposals must be submitted by the closing date of February 10, 2026.
