Sound Transit, the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority, is seeking proposals for demand-response rideshare transportation services to support transit riders in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. - Scope includes: - Provision of on-demand rideshare transportation services for both ambulatory and wheelchair users - Supply and operation of Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs), comprising 25-30% of the deployed fleet as needed - Deployment of a software platform for dispatch, trip management, and accessible reservations - Implementation of a voucher-based payment system and geofenced service areas - Rapid response capability, with service delivery within 15-30 minutes of request - Data reporting and customer support requirements - Approximately 360 service delivery vouchers are anticipated per year - Proposals must address both ambulatory and WAV services; proposals lacking WAV service will not be considered - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Emphasis on compliance with federal and state non-discrimination laws - Small Business participation is encouraged, though not required - Pricing should be provided as a fully burdened rate per trip, with the option to propose separate rates for WAV and ambulatory trips - The contract is for one year, with an option for a one-year extension

Sound Transit is requesting proposals from firms to provide demand-response rideshare transportation services, including software platforms, dispatching protocols, and equipment such as Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs). The scope of work is detailed in Exhibit B titled “SCOPE OF WORK” of the attached RFP. Proposals are due on March 23, 2026, before 1:00 PM Pacific Time. The contract term will be for one year with an optional extension of one year.
