Santa Barbara County Public Works, through the Laguna County Sanitation District, is seeking contractors for the Headworks Screen Replacement Project at its wastewater treatment plant. - Government Buyer: - Santa Barbara County Public Works Department, Laguna County Sanitation District - OEMs and Vendors: - Huber Technology, Inc. (step screens, washer-compactor system) - Endura-Flex (concrete coating materials) - Sika (SikaRepair-224 cementitious mortar) - National Coating & Lining (application of coatings) - Products/Services Requested: - Removal and disposal of existing Huber bar screen (Step Screen No. 2) - Concrete channel modifications, including demolition, reinforcement, and surface recoating - Installation of owner-provided Huber Step Screen (SCR-11.1002 or SSV 5300x976x6) and control panel - Installation of Huber Wash Press WAP (size 2) and associated control panels - Supply and application of Endura-Flex EF-1988 polyurethane coating, Endura-Flex 12P Epoxy Primer, and SikaRepair-224 mortar - Sewage bypass pumping (up to 23 MGD peak flow) and submission of bypass plan - Equipment handling, field measurements, mounting hardware, shims, grout, and supports as needed - Onsite support for Huber startup, including inspection, mechanical adjustments, wet testing, and punch-list resolution - Manufacturer services: installation inspection, startup supervision, operator training, seismic anchoring, and warranty - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Owner provides major equipment (Huber Step Screen, control panels, Wash Press) - Contractor must coordinate with Huber for installation and startup - All coatings and repairs must use specified OEM materials and follow strict application procedures - Equipment must meet explosion-proof standards (Class 1 Division 1, Group C & D) - Seismic anchoring per engineering calculations - Prevailing wage rates apply; Class A contractor license required; DIR registration mandatory - Project completion required within 60 calendar days of Notice to Proceed

Description

The Laguna County Sanitation District seeks bids for the replacement of the existing Huber bar screen (Step Screen No. 2) at the Laguna County Sanitation District Wastewater Treatment Plant Headworks Facility. The project includes removal and disposal of the existing screen, concrete channel modifications, recoating of exposed concrete surfaces, installation of an owner-provided Huber Step Screen and control panel, and coordination with electrical work performed by others.
