Description
The Department of State’s Bureau of Counterterrorism (CT) is offering funding to strengthen Iraq’s anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) regime through targeted training and technical assistance. The program aims to disrupt the financial networks of Iran, its proxy groups, and other U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organizations exploiting Iraq’s financial system. This effort supports U.S. interests by preventing funding for destabilizing activities and attacks against U.S. facilities and personnel in the region. Eligible applicants include miscellaneous and other entities. The funding instrument is a cooperative agreement with no cost sharing or matching requirement.
