The U.S. Air Force at Kirtland Air Force Base is seeking a contractor to upgrade the telecommunications infrastructure in Building 20388 to Cat-6 cabling, replacing all existing interior wiring and related components. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, 377th Mission Support Group, Communications Division (377 MSG/SC), 38th Engineering Squadron (38 ES/ENII), and 377th Communications Squadron (377th CS/SCX) - Products and Materials Requested: - Cat-6 copper cabling (four pair, 24 AWG, UL-tested, solid copper, plenum-rated where required) - Single mode fiber optic cable (minimum 12 strands per building, LC connectors) - Two Cat-6 48-port patch panels (19-inch, T-568B wiring) - 45U 19-inch floor-mount 2-post relay rack (with cable managers and grounding) - Dedicated 120VAC 30A NEMA L5-30R twist-lock single-receptacle outlet (with circuit breakers and EMT tubing) - Power Distribution Units (PDUs, 20A min., 10 NEMA L5-20R outlets) - Building Entrance Terminals (BETs) with gas tube surge protection (e.g., Circa 1890ECS) - Fiber patch panels/LIUs (LC connectors, rack or wall mount) - Manholes, ladders, cable racks, grounding hardware for exterior plant - Switches/network equipment as specified - Services Requested: - Engineering, furnishing, installation, and testing (EFI&T) of all new cabling and infrastructure - Removal and disposal of existing Cat-3/Cat-5 wiring - Telecommunications cabling design and installation (RCDD-stamped) - Testing and certification of cable installations to TIA/EIA standards (digital test results required) - Geospatial mapping/surveying and as-built documentation (SDSFIE standards) - Project management, coordination, labeling, grounding, documentation, and warranty (minimum one year) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All work must comply with State of New Mexico, Federal, and Kirtland AFB building codes - Adherence to industry (TIA, UFC, NFPA) and USAF standards is mandatory - Specialized security, environmental, power, and labeling practices required - Contractor must provide all materials, permits, studies, specifications, and supervision - Small business set-aside under NAICS 238210 - No specific OEMs or brands are mandated; products must meet technical and industry standards

Description

This project will be located on Kirtland Air Force Base (AFB), New Mexico. the primary goal of this project is to engineer, furnish, install, and test (EFI&T) an upgrade of existing premises wiring or ISP infrastructure to new Cat-6 cabling for B20388. The contractor shall furnish all services, materials, supplies, equipment, permits, investigation, studies, specifications, drawings and supervision as required in connection with the Statement of Objectives (SoO) for the design, ordering and installation of a successful completed project. All work shall be in strict compliance with all applicable codes as adopted and modified by the State of New Mexico, Federal and Kirtland AFB building codes.
