UNICOR Bastrop, under the Department of Justice, is seeking a wide range of electrical and mechanical vehicle components for its Bastrop Vehicular program. - Government Buyer: - BASTROP VEHICULAR (Federal Prison Industries, Inc. - UNICOR) - Products/Services Requested: - Over 40 distinct line items including: - Medium-strength threadlocker capsules (part # ADH0328, qty 464) - Neoprene rubber edge trim (part # AHW8282, qty 2,837 ft) - Mini-fuse holders (part # AHW9751, qty 494) - Heat-shrink adhesive-lined tubing in multiple sizes (part # AUT1923, AUT3751, AUT3753, AUT3754, AUT3755; total qty over 24,000) - Battery ring lugs, cable ties, wire & tube clamps, strain relief connectors, and a variety of electrical connectors and terminals - Automotive fuses in various amperages, relay sockets, rubber grommets, TIG torch collets, electrodes, gas lenses, sanding discs, weather-pack seals, rivets, rivet nuts, screws, toggle switches, key tags, and primary wire - Each item includes specific part numbers, quantities, and detailed technical/material specifications - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All products must meet or be equivalent to specified manufacturer part numbers and technical descriptions - Items include both electrical and mechanical components for vehicle upfitting - Delivery required by a single date to Bastrop, Texas - Some items require compliance with industry standards (e.g., UL listing, MIL specs, RoHS compliance) - No specific OEMs or brand names are mandated, but equivalency to listed part numbers is required

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included within this notice.  Solicitation, Evaluation and Award(s) will be in conjunction with policies and procedures as prescribed in FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number CW26-165BA is issued as a Request For Proposal. This award will be one award. No questions will be answered via telephone.

Federal Prison Industries, Bastrop is issuing this solicitation notice for the requirements of Vehicle Component(s). This may be for hardware, material, instructions, or a combination of parts required in the uplift of vehicles.  This solicitation is NOT set‑aside. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 423120.  Deliveries will begin when the Contracting Officer issues a signed Award Document to the Vendor. Deliveries MUST be completed within the delivery date specified, upon Award.  Deliveries will be made to UNICOR Federal Prison Industries 1341 Hwy. 95 N., Bastrop TX 78602. The Government reserves the right to make single or multiple awards based on Best Value. The Government will award to the responsible businesses whose quote, conforming to the solicitation, is most advantageous to the Government based on Best Value. Best Value will be determined by evaluating each quotation for one or more of the following: PRICE, TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE, DELIVERY (ARO), AND PAST PERFORMANCE. Awards will be issued with a Purchase Card or through a Purchase Order, SF-1449.  All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up‑to‑date information about this solicitation. Refer to the posted solicitation for due date regarding receipt of quotes (page #1, block #8).  The point of contact for all information regarding this solicitation is Chelsea Walker, Contracting Officer, at Chelsea.walker3@usdoj.gov.   Quotations are required to be received electronically to the above mentioned contact, on or before the due dates specified within the solicitation.   The only format in which questions will be answered is by e‑mail (no phone calls please). Faith Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
