Description

The City of Fresno is soliciting applications from experienced housing development organizations to construct new affordable housing or substantially rehabilitate existing housing within the city. Selected developers will handle all development aspects including property acquisition, entitlement, environmental clearance, financing, and construction. The City proposes funding through federal and state programs, including HOME Investment Partnerships, CHDO funding, and Permanent Local Housing Allocation, totaling several million dollars. Funding will be provided as gap financing with affordability covenants of 55 years for multi-family and 30 years for single-family housing. Upon project selection, a funding agreement subject to City Council approval will be executed.
