Description
The U.S. Consulate in Johannesburg invites companies with the proficiency and financial means to submit pricing proposal for the replacement of carpeting in the U.S. Consulate building in Johannesburg.
Proposals must include the following:
Pricing schedule Company profile Three (3) contactable references for comparable projects (similar scope and size)
Sub-contracting:
Bidders who are not located in South Africa and will be making use of a local sub-contractor are required to furnish the company profile and three (3) contactable references for comparable projects (similar scope and size) for the sub-contractor as well.

Overview/ Scope of Work
The project will include removing and disposing of the existing carpets and professional furniture moving services.
The total floor space to be carpeted is 2 568sqm.
The contractor will be required to re-measure all areas prior to commencing work.
All carpet tiles will be supplied by the US Government.
Please refer to the attached Scope of Work and Installation Guidelines for these specific carpets.
The list of tasks found in the Scope of Work is representative of the work expected. However, if additional requirements are identified, it is expected that all parties will negotiate in good faith to ensure the final product meets all reasonable standards.
SAM.gov Registration:
The successful bidder MUST be fully registered in SAM.gov at the time of award. Existing registrations which have expired, must be renewed and reflect as Active at the time of award. See attached guide for International Registrants.
U.S Government Payment terms:
Note that NO DEPOSIT payments will be authorized.
The US Embassy issues only fixed priced contracts; therefore, provision must be made for fluctuations in price, or exchange rates, in the quoted price. Changes in price caused by the exchange rate, will not be entertained after the order has been placed.
Available Payment methods:
EFT – Payment will be made within 30 calendar days after delivery of goods and/or services AND receipt of invoice, whichever is later.
Kindly be advised that as a Diplomatic Mission we represent the U.S. Government and are unable to sign any legal documents, including credit applications and T’s & C’s. By submitting your company profile, you agree to waive any such requirement.
NDAA Compliance:
Solicitation provision 52.240-90 is incorporated by reference. “By submission of its offer, the offeror represents” compliance.
