Description

The Bureau of Counterterrorism of the U.S. Department of State is seeking applications from organizations to provide specialized explosive ordnance disposal, counter improvised explosive device, and post-blast investigation training and equipment to security forces in Iraq, Lebanon, and Gulf Cooperation Council member states. The program aims to strengthen the capabilities of foreign governments to identify, render safe, disarm, and properly dispose of unexploded ordnance and other explosive materials. It also seeks to enhance post-blast investigation capabilities to support attribution efforts and prosecution of perpetrators. This initiative is intended to safeguard against attacks on U.S. facilities and civilian soft targets using repurposed explosive materials.
