The Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) aims to promote scientific progress nationwide by establishing partnerships among academic institutions, government, industry, and non-profit sectors to improve research infrastructure and competitiveness in EPSCoR-eligible jurisdictions. The EPSCoR RII: EPSCoR Research Fellows program supports building research capacity and transforming investigators' career trajectories through collaborations with premier research institutions. The fellowship offers opportunities for extended or periodic visits to host sites to learn new techniques, develop collaborations, and access unique facilities, with lasting impacts beyond the award period. The program has two tracks: NSF and NASA, with the NSF track open broadly and the NASA track supporting faculty from eligible institutions to collaborate with NASA centers. Participation includes one trainee from an EPSCoR jurisdiction, and staff members may be considered trainees if justified.
