Description
The Revolutionizing Engineering Departments (RED) program aims to transform undergraduate engineering education by building on previous research and efforts. It focuses on organizational and cultural changes within engineering departments, involving students, faculty, staff, and industry to rethink engineering education. The program supports four tracks: Planning, Adaptation and Implementation, Innovation, and Innovation Partnerships, encouraging two- and four-year institutions to participate. Projects should address disciplinary courses and programs and aim for institutionalization by the end of the funding period. Proposals addressing national interest areas such as advanced manufacturing, AI, biotechnology, and sustainability are especially encouraged.
