Description
The Research Facilities Act Program (RFAP) provides financial assistance to qualifying institutions for the construction, alteration, acquisition, modernization, renovation, or remodeling of agricultural research facilities. The program aims to enhance institutions' long-term impact on food and agricultural research by supporting facilities that serve national or multistate needs. Eligible projects include on-campus and off-campus research centers, greenhouses, barns, and other specialized agricultural research structures. The program requires a 1:1 non-Federal matching share and prioritizes facilities that are complementary to existing ones and demonstrate long-term support and impact.
