Description
The Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) Program aims to increase access to multi-user scientific and engineering instrumentation for research and research training at U.S. institutions of higher education and not-for-profit scientific/engineering research organizations. It supports acquisition or development of research instruments that are commercially available or have new capabilities, enhancing instrumentation capabilities and expertise. The program provides awards up to $4 million across three funding tracks, with cost sharing waived for five years starting FY 2023. The program encourages proposals from underrepresented groups and institutions in STEM disciplines.
