Description
The Research in Undergraduate Institutions (RUI) and Research Opportunity Awards (ROA) funding opportunities support research by faculty members at predominantly undergraduate institutions (PUIs). RUI proposals support PUI faculty in research that engages them in their professional fields, builds research capacity at their institutions, and integrates research with undergraduate education. ROAs support PUI faculty research by allowing them to work as visiting scientists at research-intensive organizations in collaboration with other NSF-supported investigators. Eligible PUIs are accredited colleges and universities awarding Associate's, Bachelor's, and/or Master's degrees with limited Ph.D. degrees awarded. Funding is provided through NSF disciplinary programs and is not a separate allocation.
