Description
The Basic Center Program (BCP) provides temporary, emergency shelter and counseling services to youth who have left home without permission, have been forced to leave, or are otherwise homeless. The program aims to meet the immediate needs of runaway and homeless youth and their families by providing food, clothing, counseling, and referrals for health care. BCPs offer up to 21 days of shelter and work to reunite youth with their families or find appropriate alternative placements. Priority is given to public and non-profit agencies experienced in serving runaway, homeless, and street youth.
