Description
The NSF Trailblazer Engineering Impact Award (TRAILBLAZER) program supports individual investigators proposing novel research projects that address new areas of fundamental or applied research, catalyze new industries or capabilities, and/or address national needs or grand challenges in priority areas such as AI, bioengineering, quantum engineering, robotics, and nuclear engineering. The program supports engineers and scientists pursuing new research directions distinct from their previous work. Funded projects form a cohort with expected participation in annual meetings and other activities. The program is open to eligible institutions and requires a single PI proposal.
