Description

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) seeks to support ambitious research projects organized as a “Center without Walls” consortium to elucidate mechanisms of neurodegeneration in Alzheimer’s disease-related dementias (ADRD). These collaborative research networks bring together diverse expertise from different institutions to tackle complex neurological problems. The program anticipates supporting interdisciplinary teams using multiple approaches, including advanced technologies and clinical science, to investigate disease mechanisms and identify therapeutic targets and biomarkers. One awardee will serve as a coordinating center to facilitate communication, data sharing, and implementation of rigor and reproducibility plans across awardees.
