Description
The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in areas funded by the National Science Foundation. It features two mechanisms: REU Sites, which engage multiple students in research projects within a single or interdisciplinary academic setting, and REU Supplements, which are components of NSF grants or cooperative agreements for ongoing research projects. REU projects with an international dimension are welcome, but participants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents. Investigators receiving REU awards manage their own student selection process.
