Caltrans is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive HVAC services for its properties in Monterey and San Luis Obispo Counties. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), District 05/Maintenance, Division of Procurement and Contracts - Scope of Work: - Routine and non-routine HVAC maintenance, repair, restoration, and replacement at multiple Caltrans Maintenance Stations - Includes all labor, equipment, vehicles, tools, materials, parts, permits, supplies, travel, legal disposal/recycling of waste, and incidentals - Products/Services Requested: - 70 hours: HVAC Technician Journeyman for routine services - 70 hours: HVAC Technician Journeyman for non-routine services - 2 units: Non-routine services for HVAC, including replacement of HVAC systems (labor, parts, materials) - 2 units: Removal and installation of replacement HVAC systems of like kind and function - 20 hours: Unforeseen labor - Notable Requirements: - No specific OEMs or brands are specified; contractor must provide systems of like kind and function for replacements - Bidders must hold a valid C-20 CSLB license, have a primary business location within the specified counties or within a 60-mile radius (no satellite/virtual offices), and possess valid DIR registration - Set aside for certified Small Businesses (SB), Microbusinesses (MB), Small Business for public works (SB-PW), or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) - Prevailing wage applies if total bid exceeds $15,000; bids over $484,000 will be rejected - All minimum qualifications must be met for bid responsiveness

Description

This solicitation is for routine and non-routine HVAC services on Caltrans-owned properties within Monterey and San Luis Obispo Counties. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, permits, supplies, travel, and incidentals required to maintain, repair, restore, and replace HVAC systems. Bidders must have appropriate Contractors State License Board classification, a primary business location within the specified counties or within 60 miles of listed maintenance stations, valid DIR registration, and certification as a Small Business, Microbusiness, Small Business for public works, or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise. The contract requires prevailing wages if the bid exceeds $15,000 and is limited to bids not exceeding $484,000.
