This opportunity involves the rehabilitation of two bathroom floors at the Orchard IRA residence, managed by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (Taconic DDSO): - Government Buyer: - New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), Taconic DDSO division - Project location: Orchard IRA Residence, 22 Sinpatch Road, Wassaic, NY - OEMs and Vendors: - Schluter: Manufacturer of the Ditra waterproof membrane system and floor drains - Daltile: Manufacturer of slip-resistant tile flooring (Step-wise Technology) - Products/Services Requested: - Removal of failed epoxy floor coating in two bathrooms - Repair of water-damaged subfloor and framing (using marine-grade plywood as needed) - Installation of approximately 120 sq. ft. of Daltile Step-wise Technology tile per bathroom - Installation of Schluter Ditra waterproof membrane, Schluter floor drains, and seam taping of perimeter (including corners) per Schluter specifications - Use of epoxy grout for tile installation - Disposal of all construction debris offsite - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Tile must meet or exceed OSHA slip resistance standards (DCOF ≥ 0.6) - All waterproofing and tile installation must follow Schluter manufacturer specifications - Tile and Schluter system samples/documentation must be submitted for approval before installation - Contractor must provide all materials, labor, and comply with prevailing wage requirements - One-year warranty required on all work, including waterproofing - Work must be completed within 60 days of purchase order, during specified weekday hours

Description

Taconic DDSOO is seeking bids to refurbish two existing bathroom floors at an Office for People with Developmental Disabilities owned and operated home located at 22 Sinpatch Road, Wassaic, NY. The work includes refurbishing the existing bathroom floors and the entire perimeter of walls up to the existing wall tile. The floors will be installed on a Schluter Ditra waterproof membrane with Schluter floor drains, and the perimeter shall be seam taped including corners. All Schluter components must be installed according to manufacturer specifications before tiling.
