Description
The Physician Workforce Studies contract aims to identify communities in New York State where there is a shortage of health care providers and to improve access to health care services in underserved, isolated, or medically vulnerable communities. The awarded vendor will conduct statewide community health needs assessments, manage and coordinate shortage designations, and assess the physician workforce available to meet the needs of underserved populations. The vendor will collaborate with Department of Health staff to manage the processing of federal primary care, mental health, and dental Health Professional Shortage Areas, Maternity Care Health Professional Target Areas, primary care Medically Underserved Areas, and Medically Underserved Populations. Bidders may propose subcontractors but the contractor is responsible for meeting all RFP requirements and ensuring subcontractors comply with confidentiality provisions.
