The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), under the Department of the Interior, is seeking aerial herbicide application services for the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge in Virginia. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, Suffolk, VA - FWS SAT Team 3, Goods & Services Acquisition Operations - OEMs and Vendors: - Habitat (herbicide manufactured by BASF Corporation) is specified, or chemical equivalent - Previous contract awarded to Nutrien Ag Solutions, Inc. - Products/Services Requested: - Aerial application of Habitat herbicide (or equivalent) mixed with Methylated Seed Oil (MSO) via helicopter - Up to 1,600 acres to be treated for woody and herbaceous vegetation control - Application rate: 2 pints Habitat + 3.2 oz MSO per 10 gallons per acre - Herbicides must be registered for aquatic use and applied per label instructions - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must achieve at least 95% coverage of targeted vegetation - All work must be completed by the end of the growing season (by September 30, 2026) - Contractor must provide all equipment, labor, and materials, and comply with safety, licensing, and environmental regulations - Site visit is required prior to bidding - Small business set-aside under NAICS 115310 (Support Activities for Forestry-Fuels Management Services) - Firm-fixed price contract with possible 6-month extension option
