Description

The City of Calgary is seeking a supplier to provide supply, delivery, and technical services for one Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) Integrated Wheel Truing Machine and Automatic Wheelset Inspection Device for the Green Line LRT - SE Project. The project involves a 16 km Light Rail Transit expansion from Shepard to the Event Centre/Grand Central Station in downtown Calgary. The equipment must be designed for installation and operation at the Shepard Maintenance & Storage Facility and must perform wheel geometry inspection without stopping LRVs, support reprofiling of wheels using pre-programmed wheel profile files, and be compatible with low floor LRV-type train cars with top-mounted electrical catenary systems. The scope includes design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and training.
