This opportunity seeks comprehensive design and construction services for the modernization of Community Recreation Building 45 at Naval Base San Diego, under the Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC). - Government Buyer: - Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC), Facilities and Construction Contracting, Office N944 - Point of contact: A'Keesha Stark - Scope of Work: - Full design/build services for repair and modernization of Community Recreation Center, Building 45 - Includes architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape design and construction - Interior renovations, kitchen and bar upgrades, IT/data infrastructure enhancements - Compliance with building codes, antiterrorism standards, and the Installation Appearance Plan (IAP) - Emphasis on historic preservation, landscaping, signage, and sustainable design - Replacement of outdated equipment and improvement of customer experience - Services Requested: - Design and construction for the entire facility, including ITT Center, Library, Gaming area, Brewhouse, food storage, meeting rooms, offices, and restrooms - Kitchen upgrades as a distinct service line - Notable Requirements: - Design life of at least 30 years for the facility - Two-year warranty (or longer if standard) - Milestones for design submittals at 50%, 95%, and 100% completion - Contractor must allow 21 days for NAFI review of each design submittal - Budget is approximately $4.35 million - No specific OEMs, vendors, or part numbers are identified in the solicitation or attachments - All materials, equipment, and systems must meet Navy standards and project specifications

Description

The project includes all design and construction necessary to modernize the space, improve the customer experience, and replace outdated equipment, ITT Center, Library, Gaming area, Brewhouse, along with food storage, meeting rooms, offices, and restrooms as described herein; including all demolition, installation, renovation, temporary construction and restoration necessary to produce a complete and useable facility.
