Description of Requirements: This solicitation is to supply and install a fully operational head-end unit, including all necessary equipment, labor, and transportation, to enable television service distribution to all locations on base. This head-end unit will utilize the existing Blonder Tongue HDE-8C-QAM to provide enhanced modulation capabilities for optimal compatibility with legacy television receivers.
The Contractor shall furnish the Base Communications section with the channel lineup, as detailed in the attached document, for distribution to all television outlets on the installation. The MS CRTC Communications Office retains sole discretion regarding the channel lineup; all substitutions are contingent upon their prior written authorization.
Guarantee 24/7 service availability for signal delivery to the MS CRTC Base Communications section television demarcation point. The government will be responsible for maintaining the television signal at individual drops beyond that point.
Implement integration of local over-the-air (OTA) channels into the base distribution platform. This integration will serve as a failover mechanism in the event of primary service provider outages.
