The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is seeking a comprehensive maintenance plan for a Solar Turbines Centaur 40 - 4701S Generator (Taurus 3500 kW natural gas turbine) at its Ames, Iowa National Animal Disease Center. - Government Buyer: - US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Acquisition and Property Division, MWA National Animal Disease Center - OEMs and Vendors: - Solar Turbines (OEM of the Centaur 40 - 4701S Generator) - Products/Services Requested: - OEM-authorized maintenance and service for one Solar Turbines Centaur 40 - 4701S Generator (S/N CG07798) - Scheduled maintenance inspections at 4,000 and 8,000 hours - Condition assessment visits - Emergency service response within 2 hours - Use of OEM parts only (no substitutes) - Consumable maintenance parts (excluding air filters and lubricating liquids) - Tooling, reporting, and technical support (including InSight system use and training) - Turbine Maintenance Plan for up to five years (base year plus four option years), with annual invoicing in arrears - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All maintenance must be performed by OEM-authorized personnel with relevant experience - Only OEM parts are permitted for all maintenance activities - Emergency response must be available within 2 hours - Compliance with federal regulations and anti-discrimination laws is required - Technical capability and past performance will be evaluated - Delivery is FOB destination to Ames, IA

Description

16JUN26 - Clarification.  The SF1449 five CLIN structure is for a Base+4 requirement.  In the "Award Type" section page 12 of the SF1449 RFQ document it describes a anticipated Base+4 requirement.   The requirement for RFQ 1232SA26Q0699 is a Base+4.  The Base+1 identifier top of Page 3 of the SF1449 document is incorrect as is the Base+1 callout in Attachment 1 Performance Work Statement and QASP section 3.0.    Attachment 1 Performance Work Statement and QASP section 3.0 will be corrected on any subsequent award.  

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.  

Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0699 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Turbine Maintenance Plan. 

This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 811310.  This acquisition is an unrestricted requirement.   All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
