Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Thermo Electron North America, LLC, 1400 North Point Parkway-Suite 10, West Palm Beach, Fl, 33407-1976 (CAGE Code: 3WXJ7) for the purchase of one Nicolet Summit X Fourier Transform Infrared spectrometer (FTIR) Model #: 912A1139 and warranty.
Description
This contract action is for the purchase of one Nicolet Summit X Fourier Transform Infrared spectrometer (FTIR) Model Number: 912A1139, including required hardware, software, and accessories necessary for operation and warranty for the Nicolet Summit X Fourier Transform Infrared spectrometer. The contractor shall ensure the system is fully functional, compatible with current operating systems and software, suitable for analysis of respirable dust samples in support of the Rapid Quartz Analysis method and associated components to support ongoing research and stakeholder implementation of the Rapid Quartz analysis. The contractor shall also provide documentation, licenses and warranties. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 12.102 and 12.201-1. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations /responses received by Monday 29 Jun 2026 at 10:00 am Eastern Standard Time (EST) of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
