SUBJECT: Brand Name Justification & Approval (J&A) / Limited Sources Justification (LSJ) for AFTAC FY26 Veritas Support

1. AGENCY & CONTRACTING ACTIVITY:  Department of the Air Force, Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC), in coordination with the local operational contracting office.

2. DESCRIPTION OF ACTION:  This is a public posting of the approved Limited Sources Justification for the acquisition of AFTAC FY26 Veritas Support. 

3. AUTHORITY & RFO COMPLIANCE:  This action was conducted in accordance with RFO Part 8, utilizing the streamlined acquisition procedures outlined in the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) framework, specifically Class Deviation 2026-O0049 (or equivalent active DoD Class Deviation). The requirement was fulfilled using the DoW Enterprise Software Initiative (ESI) mandated source contract vehicle.

4. DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES: This brand-name acquisition provides essential Veritas software maintenance and enterprise technical support to sustain AFTAC's critical FY26 mission requirements. 

5. JUSTIFICATION FOR LIMITING SOURCES: In alignment with the strategic sourcing goals of the RFO and the Department of Defense, Veritas is the mandated brand-name source under the active DoD ESI agreement. .
