The State of Alaska Department of Family and Community Services, through the Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API), is seeking qualified providers for psychiatric relief nursing services. - Government Buyer: - Department of Family and Community Services, Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API) - Products/Services Requested: - Psychiatric relief nursing services for API clients - Providers must supply registered nurses (RNs) with valid Alaska licensure and at least one year of psychiatric inpatient experience - Services are to be provided on an as-needed basis at an all-inclusive hourly rate of $115 - Providers are responsible for recruitment, credentialing, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards (Alaska Board of Nursing, The Joint Commission, HIPAA/HITECH, ADA, and other federal, state, and local regulations) - No overtime, shift differentials, or subcontracting permitted - Recruitment fees apply if relief nurses are hired as permanent staff within 90 days - Alaska Native entities must provide a waiver of sovereign immunity - Providers must maintain all required licenses, certifications, and insurance throughout the agreement - Compliance with privacy and security procedures for protected health information is mandatory - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; opportunity is open to all qualified relief nursing providers (individuals, agencies, or firms) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strict compliance with privacy/security (HIPAA/HITECH) - Equal employment opportunity and ADA compliance - Background checks, credentialing, and periodic meetings with API staff required - Facility safety standards must be met - Providers must submit documentation of licensure, experience, references, and insurance - Multi-year agreement with as-needed scheduling and annual funding limitations
