Las Vegas Convention Center Data Command Center UPS System Replacement

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is seeking qualified contractors to remove and replace the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System in the Central Hall's Data Command Center at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). - Project Scope: - Removal and environmentally compliant disposal of the existing UPS equipment and batteries - Installation of a new UPS system with lithium-ion batteries, including all conduit, wiring, circuit breakers, and associated equipment - Provision of a temporary UPS system to ensure uninterrupted power during the transition - Integration of the new UPS with Automated Logic Corporation (ALC) WebCTRL 9.0 IBMS and IT monitoring platforms - Field testing, commissioning, and verification of alarms and monitoring points - Replacement of rack-mount Power Distribution Units (PDUs) as indicated in project drawings - Additive alternates for additional circuits may be included at the Authority's discretion - Maintenance & Warranty: - Five years of post-installation maintenance by a manufacturer-authorized provider, including two preventative maintenance visits per year and emergency response within four hours - UPS system must have a 5-year warranty; lithium-ion batteries require a 10-year warranty with 80% capacity guarantee - Notable Requirements: - Mandatory job walk for bidders - Compliance with Nevada prevailing wage and apprenticeship laws - Coordination with LVCVA Engineering and IT departments; work must be scheduled around LVCC event calendar - Adherence to all relevant codes and standards (IEEE, NEMA, NETA, NEC) - OEMs: - MGE and APC (Schneider Electric) are referenced as manufacturers of the existing UPS equipment - The project includes an owner-controlled contingency for unforeseen conditions or scope adjustments.

The project includes removal and disposal of existing UPS equipment and batteries, installation of a new UPS system with updated conduit and wiring, integration with existing control systems, and ensuring continuous operation of critical data center equipment during the replacement.
