This notice announces the availability of an Environmental Assessment (EA) prepared by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) staff regarding Pacific Gas & Electric Company's application for a non-capacity amendment to the Mokelumne Hydroelectric Project No. 137. The proposed amendment includes installing a filter and buttress to mitigate seepage, increasing the dam height by 2 feet to minimize seismic effects, repairing a monitoring weir, and incorporating it into the project boundary. The EA concludes that the proposed amendment with protective measures would not significantly affect the human environment. Comments on the EA must be filed by July 10, 2026.
